## Summary

The Welsh Government has awarded a contract for the "Landscapes Scale Control of INNS Project," focusing on managing invasive non-native species across Wales. This initiative targets the "General public services" category and involves services related to the identified CPV code 72225000. Located in Cardiff, the Corporate Procurement Services department at Parc Cathays oversaw this procurement process using a selective method under a restricted procedure. Initially planned through the Welsh Government's Rural Support Dynamic Purchasing System, the process concluded with an award overview dated 6th August 2025. The contract was signed on 1st May 2025, valued at £137,000 with potential extension options into a second year, budgeting up to £220,000 for additional collaborative projects.

This procurement presents valuable opportunities for entities skilled in environmental conservation to engage in innovative projects that drive business growth and exemplify quality service delivery. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs), particularly those with a focus on ecological management and species control, are well-positioned to benefit from future endeavours related to similar works. The awarded contract, handled by the North Wales Wildlife Trust, highlights the demand for expertise in collaborative infrastructure and bilingual project delivery, providing a precedence for emerging organisations working in diverse habitat scenarios across the region. The project's scope offers businesses the chance not only to enhance their operational footprint but also to contribute significantly to environmental sustainability and strategic network development within Wales.
