## Summary

The National Library of Wales is progressing with the "NLW Data Foundry development" project, situated in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. This initiative lies within the services category, specifically focusing on software programming and consultancy, custom software development, and computer support services. The procurement, which initiated with an open tender process, has reached the award stage as of 24 December 2025. The contract, valued at £140,000, has been awarded to Digirati Limited. Key milestones include the completion of the platform by 30 June 2026, with active engagement expected, including workshops and user testing to meet both technical and user-experience objectives.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in software development, cultural-heritage data platforms, and those with experience in open standards and data management. Companies with skills in IIIF, cloud hosting, and adherence to security standards like ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials Plus, would find this project particularly suitable. The requirement for a bilingual, open-source platform further highlights the need for firms that can deliver compliant and innovative technology solutions, fostering potential for business growth by aligning with the Library's collaborative and agile project delivery expectations.
