## Summary

Powys County Council is actively pursuing a Dynamic Purchasing System for the Provision of Minor Construction Works across Powys, providing an exciting procurement opportunity tailored for construction services. This initiative, specifically targeting the general public services sector, aims to facilitate minor construction projects throughout the County of Powys. The procurement is currently at the "Tender" stage with a significant deadline on 23rd February 2029 for final submissions. Using a selective procurement method, governed by a restricted procedure, projects will be awarded under a contract type that spans from 24th March 2026 to 23rd February 2029. The estimated project value is £10,000,000 GBP, providing substantial scope for engagement in works such as property maintenance, refurbishments, new buildings, and adaptations throughout the region defined as UKL24.

This tender represents a pivotal opportunity for construction businesses, particularly those local to Powys, seeking to expand their portfolio and establish a strong presence in public services. Businesses specialising in general building works, excluding M&E specialty services, will find this tender aligns with their core competencies. To qualify, companies must be SSIP compliant or have a Constructionline registration at least at Silver level, holding valid public and employer liability insurance. Additionally, this DPS model supports ongoing business growth by allowing new entrants throughout its duration, fostering a competitive environment where businesses can engage in mini-competitions as packages become available. Local constructors, especially those capable of acting as Principal Contractor, are ideally positioned to benefit from this opportunity by leveraging the flexible and responsive procurement system aimed at streamlining interaction with Powys County Council.
