This procurement seeks to commission Level 2 minor oral surgery services for patients over 16 years in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire. The contracting process is initiated as a tender and will be divided into three lots, corresponding to each county. Business users should note the upcoming online market engagement event scheduled for 16 March 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, providing an opportunity to engage in dialogue and shape the approach to procure high-quality, sustainable services locally. Interested parties need to contact Lucy Hill at lucy.hill2@wales.nhs.uk for more details before the anticipated notice date on 1 April 2026.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses skilled in oral surgery to expand their reach within the local communities of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire. Providers with an existing clinical base or those willing to establish operations close to these areas are encouraged to participate. The tender favours providers who can deliver minor oral surgery services, including procedures such as dento-alveolar surgery and apicectomies, under local anaesthetic or conscious sedation. With a high contract value of £5,000,000, this project is particularly suited to medical businesses seeking to strengthen relationships within the health sector and expand their services in the regions specified. This is a prime opportunity to develop partnerships with Hywel Dda University Health Board and Hospital Dental Services, fostering growth through cooperative and co-located health services.
