## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority is currently engaged in the procurement process for the project titled "Internal Alterations to Area Control Room and Kitchen to Stirling Police Office." This public works contract falls under the public order and safety category, and is located in Stirling, Scotland. The tender has already reached the award stage, with a contract valued at £49,339.86 signed on 27 January 2016. This tender presents a lucrative opportunity for businesses specialising in construction and internal alterations, particularly those with experience in public sector projects. Companies capable of executing works involving structural modifications, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems would be well-suited to compete in similar tenders. The strategic location within the Stirling Police Office base could lead to further projects as police facilities often require ongoing maintenance and upgrades.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

Stirling Police Office (main block) is a three storey property constructed in the 1970s. Currently it is the headquarters for Police Scotland, and is occupied 24 hours per day. The former Area Control Room is located in a two storey wing to the rear of the main building. All of the main block and wings are constructed of a concrete frame and floors, masonry and concrete panel walls, with a flat roof. The former kitchen is located on the ground floor of the main block and has not been used for a number of years. Equipment is still in place but all services (e.g. gas supplies) have been disconnected to the equipment but may remain live elsewhere in the space. It is proposed to convert the former Kitchen into storage space, as such a facility exists nowhere else on the Stirling premises. In January 2015 the Area Control Room (ACR) function relocated to Edinburgh. An opportunity was thus presented to convert the former ACR into office space, to meet the ongoing demand for office space at Stirling. The works will comprise internal alterations, demolitions, new partitions, floor and ceiling finishes and alterations to the following existing services:- - Lighting and small power - Fire detection and alarm systems - Domestic water services - Drainage - Heating and ventilation systems. It is known that in the ACR there is a system of air delivery from within the raised access floor - Intruder alarm systems - CCTV systems - IT data and telecommunications systems
