## Summary

North Lanarkshire Council has completed the procurement process for the "Ground Investigation Framework Agreement 2016 to 2020," which involves acquiring ground investigation works on an ad-hoc basis. This covers geotechnical and geoenvironmental assessments for various projects such as roads, development sites, and mineral stability. The framework agreement is set to involve six contractors and has a total contract value of £700,000, with the contract signed on 29 November 2016. The buying organisation is located in Motherwell, UK, and utilises a selective procurement method through a restricted procedure.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in geotechnical and environmental services, particularly those equipped to carry out borehole sinking, drilling, and laboratory testing. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and larger firms with experience in ground investigations are ideally positioned to compete for this framework. The successful tenderers will be expected to provide on-call services, thereby ensuring a steady stream of work associated with various infrastructure and development projects within North Lanarkshire.
