These include: - Email - Calendar - Word processing, spread sheets, presentations - Storage - Online Classroom - Video Conferencing - Instant Messaging - Video - Organisational Social Networking Pre-market engagement identified that there are a number of online productivity suites available free of charge. The Scottish Ministers therefore sought only to establish contracts with suppliers willing to offer their online productivity suite free of charge. This includes free from advertising/sponsored content and 'in-application' purchases. The Contracts will be 5 years with two optional extensions for a further 3 and 2 years. The total contract term is therefore 10 years.

The Scottish Ministers sought to award multiple contracts for the provision of Online Productivity Suites for use within Glow. The Online Productivity Suite(s) will provides Glow users with access to a range of online services that allow communication and collaboration across the Glow and, where appropriate, the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with other Internet users. These include: - Email - Calendar - Word processing, spread sheets, presentations, graphic notes - Storage - Online Classroom - Video Conferencing - Instant Messaging - Video - Organisational Social Networking The existing scope of Glow users are: -Staff and pupils across all 32 local education authorities; -Staff and pupils within Independent and other schools outside of -local authority control; -College staff; -Staff and students within Faculties of Education in Universities; and -National education bodies (e.g. Education Scotland. Parents and carers are another important stakeholder for Glow. Although this group currently do not have direct access, how they can gain appropriate access is part of the longer term vision for Glow. This will bring the potential user base for Glow up to approximately 2 million users. This procurement sought commercial off the shelf services free of charge to Education Users.
