SPT are seeking a suitably qualified contractor to carry out the construction phase of the work to improve Partick Bus Station

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The works will consist of the following: Enabling works will be the provision of a 38 space car park in the adjacent Morrisons' supermarket that must be completed to the satisfaction of third party prior to accessing the land adjacent to bus station currently used as part of Morrisons' car park which will form part of the bus station. The works to improve the bus station will be undertaken in a phased approach in order to maintain a through route for vehicles. There will be new, improved passenger waiting areas with an additional bus stance all of which will incorporate improved information for passengers using the bus station with real time information screens and audio information. The bus operational area will be renewed in concrete incorporating a new drainage system into Vine Street and there will be new feature lighting in the area. A safe environment will be provided through the segregation of the passengers from all of the bus movements with the installation of pedestrian guard rail. The upgrade to the public realm areas will consist of laying new granite slabs which will be complemented with tree planters, the installation of street furniture and way finding signage. A close working relationship with the SPT and with stakeholders who are adjacent landowners will be necessary to ensure achievement of the project delivery objective of providing improvements to the bus station. It is the intention of SPT to award this work to a single contractor to ensure that all aspects of the works are carried out in a seamless and co-ordinated manner with a single point of contact.
