## Summary

The Scottish Government, as the buying organisation, has awarded a contract for financial consultancy services related to the R100 Digit programme. The procurement process was initiated with a tender focused on providing comprehensive financial and commercial advice to ensure the effective delivery of this infrastructure project. The contract has a value of £450,000 and is set for an initial term of two years, with an option to extend for an additional 24 months. This service is classified under the "services" category and is notable for its emphasis on broadband infrastructure and electronic communications. The contract was formally signed on 1st February 2017, following the tender period which commenced on 1st March 2017 and concluded on 28th February 2021, with the award completed on 29th May 2019.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in financial consultancy, particularly those with expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects, broadband investment, and associated regulatory environments. Companies that can demonstrate a strong track record of success in public procurement processes, financial model evaluation, and commercial negotiation are particularly well-suited to compete in this market. The requirement for a thorough understanding of the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme will also benefit businesses active in technology and communications sectors looking to leverage their skills in a critical government initiative.
