In this pilot, eligible homeowners (including private landlords) are able to borrow from the Scottish Government for works and repay at sale or transfer ownership. A form of Standard Security requires development for the equity loans, and solicitors are necessary to act on behalf of Scottish Government in recording the security and carrying out associated legal work on each loan. The Service Provider will liaise with EST who will be administering the equity loan scheme on behalf of the Scottish Government.
