## Notice

The Scottish Government requires a contractor to provide a detailed financial and technical due diligence process to assess the financial and technical readiness of the projects seeking support through the transformational demonstrator.Launched in July 2016, the Transformational Low Carbon Infrastructure call was designed to accelerate the delivery of large scale transformational low carbon infrastructure projects. Projects applying for funding through the call must be of significant scale, be based in Scotland and have a total project value of up to PS40 million.LCITP will provide projects with financial assistance of up to 50% of the total capital value of the project (up to a maximum of PS20 million), where capital value covers financial costs associated with the build and installation of an exemplar project. The successful projects will be innovative in design, incorporating one or more low carbon technologies, demonstrating economic, social and low carbon benefits for Scotland. This financial support has been designed to encourage innovation of both design and business models and aggregation at scale whilst targeting proven low carbon technologies. The financial support offered focuses on low carbon and/or renewable electricity and heat generation solutions for Scotland that will contribute to wider Scottish Government Climate Change ambitions. The first phase of the call process invited project applicants to submit an Expression of Interest (EoI). Following an evaluation process against the eligibility criteria, 17 projects have now been invited to submit full applications.
