## Summary

The recent procurement process initiated by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde focused on acquiring a conveyor system compatible with its existing automated picking and distribution setup. This tender was classified under the goods category within the health industry. The procurement method employed was a limited award procedure, bypassing prior publication of a call for competition, aimed at enhancing the output capacity of their existing robotic system. The contract, which was signed on 21st November 2016, pertains to an item intended for delivery at the Pharmacy Distribution Centre located on Dava Street, Govan Glasgow, with the organisation's main procurement operations situated in Glasgow, UK.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for businesses specialising in automated systems, material handling equipment, and related technology. Companies that provide compatible robotics and conveyor solutions would be particularly well-suited to compete, especially those with expertise in seamlessly integrating new systems with existing infrastructures. The high-tech nature of the requirement offers a chance for innovation and growth within the supply chain sector, specifically targeting suppliers capable of minimising disruption during installation.
