## Summary

The Forestry Commission, located in Edinburgh, UK, has completed a procurement process for a Framework Agreement titled "Deer Fencing (Galloway)". This procurement falls under the environmental protection category, aimed at preventing damage to planted trees in the Galloway Forest district caused by deer and other grazing mammals. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, and the resulting contract was signed on 6 January 2017. The process, which is now in the award stage, involves compliance with Forestry Commission and FISA standards, ensuring that all timber and wood-derived products are sourced from legally and sustainably managed sources.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in forestry, fencing installation, and sustainable timber supply. Companies interested in this contract are likely to benefit by offering competitive pricing and meeting the Forestry Commission's stringent quality standards. Businesses that can demonstrate certification for legal and sustainable sourcing of materials will be particularly well-suited to compete for this framework agreement, which also allows for mini-competitions based on the anticipated value of call-off contracts.
