## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is conducting a public procurement process for Property Insurance, aimed at protecting its publicly owned assets, which falls under the housing and community amenities industry category. Located in Edinburgh, the procurement is currently in the Award stage, with a contract duration of five years and the possibility of two two-year extensions. The tender process for submissions concluded on 16 June 2017, and the awards for the three lots, which include Owned and Operational Properties, Leased-out Industrial and Commercial Properties, and Leased-out Theatres, were signed on 26 September 2017 as part of an open procedure.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in insurance services, particularly those that can provide comprehensive coverage for municipal buildings. Companies that have relevant experience in handling similar contracts—along with the necessary financial standing and insurance qualifications—will be favourably positioned to compete. The requirement for substantial insurance coverage levels suggests that experienced insurers with strong financial backing will find this a suitable opportunity to expand their client base within the public sector.
