## Summary

Renfrewshire Council has recently completed a procurement process for "Microsoft Implementation Support," aimed at establishing a Secure Productive Enterprise (SPE) Agreement with Microsoft to serve approximately 4,200 corporate users. The contract was expected to be in place by 1 April 2017, with the transformation process anticipated to span 1 to 2 years. The procurement method used was an open procedure, conducted as part of the services category, and relevant activities took place predominantly at Renfrewshire House in Paisley. The tender period closed on 28 February 2017, followed by the award decision on the same day.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT services, particularly those with expertise in Microsoft products and system implementations. Companies able to demonstrate technical proficiency and robust support capabilities, especially in large-scale service transformations, would be well-positioned to compete. Moreover, organisations must meet specific economic and technical criteria to ensure compliance, making this an attractive prospect for capable firms seeking to expand their market footprint in public sector contracts.
