The Scottish Road Works Commissioner has appointed a service provider to deliver Software as a Service (SaaS) for the Design, Construction, Implementation, Improvement, Hosting and Maintenance of the Scottish Road Word Register (hereinafter referred to as "the Register"), such services include, but are not restricted to, project management, implementation, integration and training resources. Scotland has operated such a national register of road works since 1991.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015

Options: 3 x 12 month contract extention periods

Renewal: The initial contract period will be 48 months with the option to extend for up to 3 further 12 month periods.

  Provision of A Scottish Road Works Register - The Scottish Road Works Commissioner (SRWC) requires the Design, Construction, Implementation, Improvement, Hosting and Maintenance of a Scottish Road Works Register which is capable of supporting all the mandatory notification requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (as amended by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2005), and its related Codes of Practice. The Operator will supply, operate and develop an electronic notification system capable of handling all the operations of Scotland's centralised Register together with the operation of a Dial before you Dig system. The Dial before you Dig system provides a protection system for owners of underground services, including but not limited to utilities and roads authorities.
