These Units are made up of specialists in economics, social research and statistics. The Analytical software used is for a diverse range of purposes, including providing a plethora of economic information/data, formulated to inform the Scottish Ministers and other stakeholder across Government on a range of data to formulate future policy. In addition the data is also required by the EU. Failure to provide specific data on a frequent basis to the EU and may result in failure penalties..
