## Summary

The Scottish Government is conducting a tender titled "Development, Administration and Delivery of the Climate Challenge Programme Malawi," aimed at engaging a qualified contractor to implement a community-focused climate initiative in southern Malawi. The procurement process is currently in the award stage, having started with invitation submissions that ended on 5 June 2017. This project is classified under general public services and uses an open procurement method with a total estimated value of £600,000. Contact for the tender is Tony Cruickshank, reachable at +44 1312447167 or via email at tony.cruickshank@gov.scot.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in climate change mitigation, project management, and community development. Companies with experience in delivering integrated programmes in developing regions or expertise in environmental services will be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The project's focus on community-led initiatives means that organisations that can demonstrate effective engagement strategies and a strong understanding of local dynamics will likely be at an advantage throughout the tendering process.

## Notice

The Scottish Government's Energy and Climate Change Directorate was seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor (hereinafter the Supplier) to undertake the development, administration and delivery of a new and innovative programme, the Climate Challenge Programme Malawi (CCPM). Based on the core principles of Scotland's successful domestic Climate Challenge Fund, the CCPM will be a strategic and integrated programme implementing a range of community-led projects in southern Malawi, via a team of remunerated on-the-ground development officers. The CCPM will support a select group of rural communities to identify and implement their own solutions for adapting to and building resilience against the worst effects of climate change.
