### Lot Information

Lot 1

Located 3 miles to the south of Edinburgh City Centre, Edinburgh BioQuarter is the flagship initiative for stimulating and accommodating the growth of Scotland's Life Sciences sector. The site is home to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, a 900 bed teaching hospital and also the prestigious University of Edinburgh Medical School. More recently, on-site commercial presence has increased through the opening of the bio incubator building NINE in 2011. Scottish Enterprise (the Employer) is seeking to appoint a Contractor to initially appoint a Modular supplier and there after design, install and fit out (in phases) 2 x additional Modular Units. There is currently a 10yr planning consent granted for up to 4 x modular units on a designated part of Plot 10. The forth of these units is not included as part of this contract. A key requirement of the brief is to ensure that there is harmony in the design of the Modular Units to compliment the existing unit and building Nine. Due to the value and assessed risk associated with this commission, bidders will be required to demonstrate a minimum average turnover of GBP4,680,000 over the last two years for which accounts/financial statements are available.
