## Summary

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland, is undertaking a procurement process for the supply and delivery of Central Venous Catheters (CVCs). This initiative, categorised under the health industry, is currently in the "Tender" stage with an open procedure enabling participation. The procurement process encompasses several lots with a submission deadline of 12 June 2017 and a total estimated value of approximately £4.5 million. The buying organisation, located in Edinburgh, aims to supply these critical medical products to all entities constituted under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the medical supplies sector, specifically for companies that manufacture or distribute catheter products. Businesses that excel in delivering sterile, single-use, and latex-free medical devices, alongside those with strong quality assurance processes, are particularly well-suited to compete in this procurement. Moreover, the multi-supplier framework approach enhances the chances for various suppliers to secure contracts within different lots, fostering a competitive environment aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare supplies across NHS Scotland.
