The services being purchased are category no 7: Computer and Related Services, as described in the CEC Contract/Contract Award Notice ### Procurement Information The City of Edinburgh Council ("CEC") carried out a procurement process under the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2012 (the "2012 Regulations") (contract notice: 2014/S 024-038205 and contract award notice: 2015/S 195-353801) on behalf of itself and the contracting authorities named in the notices, to establish a new partnership for the provision of Information, Communication and Technology ("ICT") services with CGI UK Limited ("CGI"). The contract notice and contract award notice provide that CEC is "purchasing on behalf of other contracting authorities" and states that "the scope of ICT Services to be delivered includes all ICT services presently delivered, those contemplated to be delivered by 2016 and all future ICT requirements of the City of Edinburgh Council and the contracting authorities named in this Contract Notice." The estimated value of services to be provided under the partnership is GBP 2bn. Following the conclusion of the procurement process, CEC entered into an agreement with CGI which included a mechanism enabling the named contracting authorities to subsequently make use of the partnership established by CEC and purchase ICT services (which fall within the scope of the CEC procurement) through that mechanism by means of: (i) a collaboration agreement between CEC and a named contracting authority; and (ii) a separate contract put in place directly between CGI and a named contracting authority. Glasgow City Council is intending to purchase the ICT services from / through the partnership established by CEC in accordance with the procurement process and the contractual mechanism referred to above after the expiry of the 10-day standstill period following publication of this notice. The aggregate value of all services to named contracting authorities which have opted to on-board the partnership procured by CEC (including services to be provided to Glasgow City Council) is within the estimate specified in the contract notice referred to above.
