## Summary

The Scottish Government, acting on behalf of Stirling Council, is overseeing a public procurement process titled "CivTech 2.0 - Challenge 7 - Understanding Data". This initiative is categorised under general public services and has its base in Edinburgh, UK. The procurement method employed is the open procedure, with the tender period having concluded on 1st June 2017. This phase sought innovative solutions to enhance data understanding and service delivery to customers, with a contract value of £100,000 signed on 29th March 2018.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, especially those specialising in data analytics, customer relationship management, or innovation in public services. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be particularly well-suited to participate, as indicated by the inclusion of multiple SME bids during the tender process. Companies with a strong focus on developing customer-centric solutions, as well as those capable of addressing public sector challenges through innovative technological means, stand to benefit by engaging in similar public contracts in the future.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

CivTech(r) 2.0 is a programme backed by the Scottish Government that will bring together private sector businesses, public organisations and citizens to develop more efficient and effective products and services, which will translate to new, better, faster and easier experiences for everyone. Innovation is key. By setting challenges - problems public sector organisations have identified - but not solutions, CivTech will be looking for truly great, innovative solutions. The current challenge facing Stirling Council is that we have a limited understanding of what our customers require from us, and how well we respond to those needs and demands. While predominantly these customers constitute the people who live in our area, they also include people who visit us, and the people who work with us. Whoever they are, our customers make contact to a wide range of council staff, through various channels, and at all times of day and night. And the reasons they contact us will be for a wide range of reasons. Crucially, the way we record and store the contact including what it concerns and action taken also varies. So the Challenge is - How can we better understand our data to improve all aspects of our services? We're looking for a solution to help us collect customer contacts [everything about, and resulting from them] from the different channels used, in an easy and user friendly manner. We'd like a solution to give us a better understanding of the reasons why our customers contact us; to gather, distil and make visible data that helps us to design our services, processes and procedures better; and to identify trends so we can pro-actively take action. We intend to gradually increase the online services we provide, and ideally a solution would take this into account so that the solution is as far as possible future-proofed. Please visit www.civtech.atlassian.net for more information on how to be involved in CivTech(r) 2.0. IMPORTANT: It is vital that applicants review the full information about each challenge available on the CivTech wiki page (https://civtech.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=45847042) before completing the application. Below each challenge summary is a link to the full challenge, a video, relevant dates and further information about the challenge sponsor.. Technical Evaluation The assessment of applications will be averaged at 50-50 between Challenge Sponsors and the CivTech team, regardless of how many assessors there are for each side. For example, a Challenge Sponsor has 5 assessors and the CivTech team have two, their 5 scores will count for 50% and the CivTech team's two scores will count for the other 50%.
