There is a requirement for the refresh of the audio-visual equipment in the five Appleton Tower Lecture Theatres and the Mezzanine Level Teaching Studios. Currently the AV is over 10 years old and is starting to fail, or has failed already. The plan will be to bring all 5 Lecture Theatres and 3 Teaching Studios up to the current University standard. This spend will be covered from 2 budgets, ISG LST budget for the Lecture Theatres and Estates RDEC 2017 budget for the rest of the spaces. Provision of new fit- for- purpose audio visual equipment is imperative to deliver the level of experience expected of a world leading University. The cost effective audio-visual package is based on client expectations, budget, university AV standards and innovative technology to compliment teaching and enhance the student experience. The University of Edinburgh Information Services Group has an operational requirement to provide quality facilities for use by both staff and students. The purpose of this tender is therefore to: To determine best value and quality based on the supplied equipment specification and quality questions. Continue to provide resilient, reliable services Minimise support costs and ensure the University is achieving value for money. To create an agreement, this will result in the University nominating a sole contractor.
