Lot 1

Zero Waste Scotland wishes to continue to provide cascade training for Love Food Hate Waste (LFHW) by engaging with as many householders in Scotland as possible through delivery of quality cascade training sessions in their workplaces, utilising existing training materials. The training sessions will provide attendees with an understanding of the scale and impact of food waste in Scotland, as well as the knowledge and practical skills of simple approaches to stop wasting food and save money in the process. In order to encourage attendance, the sessions will be run at the premises of the organisation receiving the training (or at a similar location provided by them) and will be free to attend. The supplier will be responsible for co-ordinating all arrangements and communications related to delivery of this contract, which includes recruitment of participant organisations, purchase of hard-copy materials, preparation of 'give away' materials, and the delivery of at least one training session for each organisation recruited. The supplier will co-ordinate the issue and return of a standard feedback form for each training session.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

Renewal: The contract may be extended to 31 March 2019, subject to satisfactory performance and continuation of funding. Confirmation will be provided to the contractor as early as possible. No work should be carried out after 31 March 2018 without this confirmation from Zero Waste Scotland. The scope and scale of work will not change from that of the original contract.
