## Summary

East Ayrshire Council is embarking on a tender process titled "Market Research - Early Years Provision Construction Projects", aimed at enhancing free early learning and childcare provision in the region. This initiative is part of a broader commitment by the Scottish Government to provide 1140 hours of free childcare annually for eligible children by 2020. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a set budget ranging from GBP 500,000 to GBP 5 million for various construction projects, including new builds and refurbishments. Interested contractors must submit their completed questionnaires by close of business on Friday, 23rd June 2017, as consultations are set to occur between 1st and 21st July 2017 in Kilmarnock. The anticipated development period for these projects will commence in January 2018 and conclude by August 2020.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the construction and early education sectors, particularly those experienced in delivering educational facilities. Companies engaging in public works, including general contractors, builders, and consultancy firms that specialise in procurement and construction methods, would find this tender particularly relevant. By participating in this process, businesses can not only contribute to a significant government initiative but can also potentially secure lucrative contracts that may enhance their portfolio and reputation in the industry.
