## Notice

Due to the increase in tunnel works SPT Subway trains are attracting excessive dust, dirt & debris, which is collecting too the under frame of the vehicles in particular and causing components too overheating and other complications. The under frames and other specified areas of the cars require a non-abrasive, nontoxic and dry method of cleaning to remove excess tunnel dust, dirt & debris to various areas and components that are detrimentally impacting the reliability/availability our fleet. Specific areas to be focussed on during the cleaning process are the brake equipment, air reservoirs, power rectifiers and all other ancillary equipment to solebar level. Under seat equipment cases inside the cars requires to be cleaned to remove grime, dust & debris and the passenger door equipment to include door engines and control arms. Areas not to be cleaned or indeed additional areas will be identified.

The cleaning process will take place in Broomloan depot in 6 road enclosed booth which is located at the south end of the facility. The maximum number of cars to be cleaned will be 15 over a period of 12 months with the schedule to be agreed between Subway maintenance and the contractor.
