Testing of patient samples is performed at sites located at 6 sites in Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness, and Aberdeen). Testing of samples referred from hospitals and internal laboratories is performed both manually and on automated systems. A selected number of donor and patient samples are also tested by manual technique and currently BioRad IH-1000.

Donation Testing activities are due to be consolidated at the Jack Copland Centre, Heriot Watt campus in Edinburgh in 2017/18. Testing of patient samples is performed at sites located at 6 sites in Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Inverness, and Aberdeen). Testing of samples referred from hospitals and internal laboratories is performed both manually and on automated systems. A selected number of donor and patient samples are also tested by manual technique and currently BioRad IH-1000.

Renewal: The Authority will have the option to extend the contract for three (3) twelve (12) month periods, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
