## Summary

Stirling Council is currently managing the SMART Energy Project, which involves the procurement of an advanced remote energy monitoring platform for urban public buildings in the Stirling area, UK. This procurement is in the award stage, with important deadlines having passed on 31 August 2017 for bid submissions. The council's objective is to enhance energy efficiency through improved data collection and analysis. The contract was officially signed on 12 December 2017 and falls under the classification of the services industry, specifically focusing on general public services.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in energy management solutions and software development, particularly small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of delivering high-quality technological installations. Companies with expertise in building management systems, remote monitoring technologies, and energy analytics will be well-positioned to engage with Stirling Council’s needs, particularly those involved in the upgrades of existing systems to more efficient and integrated platforms. Competing businesses should prepare to demonstrate their expertise in reliable data security and user access controls, as specified in the tender requirements.

## Notice

Stirling Council is looking to award a contract for the provision of an ultra-modern remote energy monitoring platform for an initial suite of mostly urban public buildings. This would enable us to better monitor energy use in real time; provide improved energy data; and bring together data which is currently collected from multiple sources into one platform to enable smart decisions, based on improved data and analysis, to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and reductions in energy consumption. The solution would also require to be securely accessible online from Council PCs and devices, with the facility to set up differing levels of data access and control and must store data securely so that it cannot be accessed by unregistered users; and must be backed up so that it cannot be lost in any server failure.
