## Summary

The University of Edinburgh is undertaking a tender process to appoint a Design Team for a new student accommodation project at Peffermill, Edinburgh. This project, aimed at supporting the increasing student population, involves the development of 600 beds in close proximity to university sports facilities. The tender process follows a selective procurement method and is currently in the active stage, with submissions invited up to 6th September 2017. Interested parties should note that the total construction value is estimated at £30 million, and the design team fee is projected to be £2.5 million, with the contract signed on 23rd April 2018.

This tender provides a prime opportunity for architecture and engineering firms, particularly those with experience in large-scale educational projects, to compete for a prestigious contract. The project requires a skilled design team comprising architects and engineers, and businesses with a strong track record in delivering similar educational or residential projects will be well-positioned to submit compelling bids. Additionally, firms that prioritise Fair Work Practices and have relevant professional certifications will be favourably considered.
