Lot 1

The HDX platform is a system that allow the analysis of protein structure using hydrogen deuterium exchange on protein backbone. It provide structural information which is complementary to other techniques (crystallography and NMR for example). The HDX platform we are looking for comprise of a dedicated HPLC system (controlled solvent delivery system), a pepsin column and a reverse phase column. The pepsin column allow to digest rapidly the protein and the peptides are collected on the reverse phase column. The peptide fragments are then analysed from the reverse phase column on a mass spectrometer (not included in this purchase but has to be connected online with the HDX platform). In addition, the system comprise a software to control those different operations and a software to analyse the data. Regarding the mass spectrometer, the School of Chemistry has a Waters Synapt mass spectrometer instrument which can be used in combination with the HDX-platform we wish to acquire.
