The Shieling Project invites tenders for design and build companies to complete our vision for a shieling inspired educational campsite. The project has been hosting classes of up to 33 children plus teachers in classic scout tents for our heritage and sustainability residentials and summer camps. We are now in a position to replace these tents with inspiring, modern and sustainably built accommodation cabins. We have full planning permission and designs up to RIBA stage 2. The successful company will complete the design process through RIBA stages 3 to 7, with the buildings in use by mid April 2018. You will produce full costings and work schedule, and engage with the project to enable learning groups to take part in the assembly stage on site.
