Lot 1

The Wellcome Centre currently has thirteen Beckman Coulter floor standing high speed centrifuges, which are all heavily used in research. We currently have multiple existing rotors for Beckman high speed centrifuges. Beckman recommend the use of their own rotors in their ultra and high speed centrifuges. Using the incorrect/non-Beckman rotor can lead to very expensive damage to these centrifuges and potentially the user too since the forces involved are measured in thousands of G. Beckman Coulter will only work directly with customers at this level of instrumentation due to the fact that this is a very technical product line and will only supply these(floor standing Ultra-Centrifuge) direct. Using non-Beckman rotors in Beckman centrifuges voids all warranty and would also negate our existing service contracts that cover these centrifuges.
