The Upgrade to Elite is subject to satisfactory repair of the Orbitrap Velos Pro under Service Estimate HEM2017/656. The manufacturer of our Velos Orbitrap Pro system (Thermo Fisher Scientific) is the sole supplier of upgrading this instrument due to patent protection and restricted access to parts. Unfortunately, there is no alternative route other than decommissioning the instrument at much higher costs of acquiring a new instrument.
