The proposals encompass realigning two sections of road, replacing a weak bridge and car parking provision. The northern realignment section will include access for proposed new visitor facilities associated with Balgray Reservoir. A new inclusive pedestrian and cycling link, including a boardwalk overlooking Balgray Reservoir, will also be created along the corridor. Through a lead consultancy, the Council is seeking to appoint a multidisciplinary design team to undertake a comprehensive community based design project to support the on-going development of the Balgray Reservoir boardwalk.
