### Lot Information

Surface Dressing

The works will consist of the supply and application of carriageway surface dressing binder and whin chippings at various locations throughout West Lothian. The contractor will be responsible for visiting and assessing the sites and providing the design required for reach area. A design for each site will be suggested by the Engineer but the Contractor will ultimately be responsible for the performance of the final design. On completion of the surface dressing works, the newly surface dressed road surfaces will require a selling down period and the loose chips swept up before new carriageway markings are applied. The Contractor should also allow for the provision of all traffic management and road closures, along with any and all diversion route layout drawings and sign schedules showing the individual signs and quantity of each required for the contract. The Contractors rates should allow for the design of these, the provision of the drawings, the manufacture of the signs and for the erection, maintenance and removal of the signs from site on completion of the works.

Thin Surfacing

The works will consist of the supply and application of a hot bituminous bound mixture, machine-laid with a controlled screed paver onto a bond or tack coat to form, a textured surface course less than 50mm in thickness. The contractor will be responsible for visiting and assessing the sites and providing the design required for reach area. A design for each site will be suggested by the Engineer but the Contractor will ultimately be responsible for the performance of the final design. On completion of the surface application renewal of all carriageway markings and studs will be required. The Contractor should also allow for the provision of all traffic management and road closures, along with any and all diversion route layout drawings and sign schedules showing the individual signs and quantity of each required for the contract. The Contractors rates should allow for the design of these, the provision of the drawings, the manufacture of the signs and for the erection, maintenance and removal of the signs from site on completion of the works.

Slurry Micro Surfacing

The works will consist of the supply and application of Slurry Seal at various locations throughout West Lothian. The requirements may be for either foot way or carriageway application dependent on the maintenance requirements for each contract. The contractor will be responsible for visiting and assessing the sites and providing the design required for reach area. A design for each site will be suggested by the Engineer but the Contractor will ultimately be responsible for the performance of the final design. On completion of the surface application the contractor will be responsible for the renewal of all carriageway markings and studs dependent on the site specific requirements. The Contractor should also allow for the provision of all traffic management and road closures, along with any and all diversion route layout drawings and sign schedules showing the individual signs and quantity of each required for the contract. The Contractors rates should allow for the design of these, the provision of the drawings, the manufacture of the signs and for the erection, maintenance and removal of the signs from site on completion of the works.

Road Recycling

The works will consist of the In-situ recycling of various carriageways within the West Lothian area. The contractor will be responsible for the design and construction of the required surface treatment along with all necessary on site testing and quality control and as such the contractor will be responsible for the performance of the final design. Following the completion of the resurfacing aspect of the contract the contractor will be responsible for the renewal of any and all road markings and studs dependant on the site specific requirements. The Contractor should also allow for the provision of all traffic management and road closures, along with any and all diversion route layout drawings and sign schedules showing the individual signs and quantity of each required for the contract. The Contractors rates should allow for the design of these, the provision of the drawings, the manufacture of the signs and for the erection, maintenance and removal of the signs from site on completion of the works.

Road Retexturing

The works will consist of the supply and completion of road surface retexturing at various sites throughout West Lothian. The contractor will supply and operate all plant required for the completion of the works. The contractor will also be responsible for the cleaning of the retextured surface and safe disposal of all arisings. The Contractor should also allow for the provision of all traffic management and road closures, along with any and all diversion route layout drawings and sign schedules showing the individual signs and quantity of each required for the contract. The Contractors rates should allow for the design of these, the provision of the drawings, the manufacture of the signs and for the erection, maintenance and removal of the signs from site on completion of the works.
