## Summary

NHS Lothian has completed an award for its tender titled "NHS Lothian-Increased Physical Activity in Children and Young People in West Lothian." This procurement, classified under the health industry, was initiated to find proposals for a community-led programme that promotes physical activity among children and young people in West Lothian. The contract, valued at £200,000 and signed on 12 January 2018, is currently active and requires service delivery within a West Lothian base. The procurement process followed an open procedure, ensuring transparent bidding opportunities.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, especially those engaged in community health and youth services, to expand their service offerings in public health improvement initiatives. Companies that focus on programme development, community engagement, and health promotion activities will be well-suited to compete. Furthermore, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find advantageous grounds here, as the project encourages community benefits and partnerships with local organisations to address health inequalities effectively.
