## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking proposals for the "Managed support services; CYP with ASN; and Family Support Volunteer Service". This procurement falls under the general public services category and is located within the City of Edinburgh. Currently, this process is at the award stage, with the contracts having been signed in March and July 2018, with a total value of approximately £6.93 million and £739,500 respectively. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, inviting tenders to provide essential services aimed at enhancing confidence and resilience among families.

This tender represents considerable opportunities for businesses in the social services sector, especially those focused on providing support to children and families. Organisations with expertise in community engagement, mental health support, or additional support needs would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. The requirement for both managed support services and volunteer coordination offers a pathway for businesses that can demonstrate a robust understanding of community needs, experience in similar services, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes.

## Notice

Two services are required to help build confidence and resilience within families throughout Edinburgh. There is a clear requirement for a preventative, systemic service which supports children and family from early years to high school. A wide range of factors may lead to some children and young people having a need for additional support. These fall broadly into the four overlapping themes: learning environment, family circumstances including English as an Additional Language, disability or health need, and social and emotional factors.
