### Procurement Information

In order to meet ministerial commitments to ensure the Social Security Agency can administer the first benefit to public beta by summer 2018 & live by summer 2019, these critical milestones require an accelerated deliverable with the above scope. Specifications to procure support to develop capabilities for wave 1 benefits have been produced and will be supported by short to medium term commercial arrangements. External market assessment is required to inform strategic choices on core platforms & services to be used by as well as informing work to deliver capabilities for the first wave of benefits to be administered. The desired outputs were unforeseen and are required urgently to ensure the critical milestones above are to be achieved.
