The University of Strathclyde is investing 31 million GBP in the construction of the Strathclyde Sport facility which is scheduled to open in August 2018. In order to support the smooth transition to this new facility the University require to procure Fitness and Conditioning equipment capable of withstanding the intense high use experienced anticipated within this facility, whilst supporting the creation of a Strathclyde Sport loyalty and identity not only within the general student population, but mainly within the 53 student clubs.

### Lot Information

Cardio Vascular and Fixed Resistance

Strathclyde Sport (SS) as a requirement to fit out a fitness area (1080m2) with cardio vascular equipment, spin bikes and fixed path resistance machines capable of withstanding the intense high use experienced within this facility. Equipment must be extremely robust and hard wearing, whilst being safe and incorporating innovative design to meet the needs of the broad spectrum of SS customers (novice users through to world class athletes).

Renewal: May take up option of 1 x 12 month extension

Conditioning Equipment, Flooring and Accessories

Lot 2 has the requirement of the provision and installation of conditioning equipment, a suitable high quality flooring solution and associated accessories within a purpose built Conditioning Room within Strathclyde Sport. Equipment must be extremely robust and hard wearing, whilst being safe and incorporating innovative design to meet the needs of the broad spectrum of customers and in keeping with the aspirations of a leading technological University. The flooring solution must be class leading in reducing the vibration and acoustic issues that arise from the dropping of heavy weight lifting equipment.
