The purpose of this event is to collate input from the supply market for the development of a Rent Deposit Guarantee Service. The Council may decide to competitively tender this contract in the future. ### Lot Information Lot 1 The City of Edinburgh Council would like to engage with potential Service Providers to participate in the development of a rent deposit guarantee service. The proposed service is for households who have been assessed by the City of Edinburgh Council as homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Eligible households will include single persons, couples (with or without children) and groups of adults sharing. The key role of the Service Provider will be to facilitate the following: 1) Assess the housing and support need, and financial circumstances of households interested in the service; 2) Issue a written guarantee to landlords when a new tenancy is established; 3) Provide and oversee a tenants' savings programme; 4) Resolve claims against the guarantee (within the agreed timeline); 5) Make appropriate referrals to advice and support services to prevent homelessness (as and when required); and 6) Maximise the number of households that can benefit from the service. This opportunity is to participate in the coproduction of a service specification for the above service and by submitting your interest you are agreeing to further engagement with the City of Edinburgh Council. The Council may decide to competitively tender this contract in the future..
