## Summary

The Argyll and the Isles Coast and Countryside Trust (ACT) based in Lochgilphead, Argyll, has recently concluded a public procurement process for the project titled "Getting to the roots of Rhododendron ponticum in Glen Creran". This tender, initiated on 8 November 2017 and with a completion status, focused on addressing invasive rhododendron species threatening Scotland's temperate rainforest. The procurement was held under an open procedure, and the contract has a value of £9,876. The project is situated in Glen Creran, North Argyll, with essential activities scheduled around community engagement and educational initiatives. The procurement stage has now moved to the award phase, with the contract signed on 24 November 2017.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses primarily in environmental services, ecological consultancy, and community engagement sectors. Companies that specialize in invasive species control, environmental education, and community-based projects would be especially well-suited to participate in similar future tenders. Engaging with local communities and ensuring sustainable practices are key components highlighted in the project, thereby fostering growth potential in fields aligned with environmental conservation efforts.
