This notice is to indicate that the University of Scotland intends to contract with Datavita for the provision of WAN services at its new Lanarkshire Campus and other UWS Campuses.This service has an estimated total cost (for 5 years) of circa GBP 300,000 . ### Procurement Information There is technical justification in services being provided by a particular economic operator for the following reasons.1 There is a pre-existing WAN connection in the Lanarkshire Campus Building which was installed by HFD (via Datavita) who are the Estate Developer for Hamilton Innovation Park. This is shared connection which allows for greater flexibility in bandwidth provision. 2.LAN services which are part of the Managed Services provided by HFD (via Datavita) will be provided through this existing WAN connection. 3.Introducing an additional WAN connection would result in the WAN/LAN being provided through two separate managed services. 4.
