This requirement is for the opportunity to provide academic dress hire services to the University of Edinburgh, both for Students and Staff members who require formal academic outfits. The most significant occasions in terms of numbers are the twice-yearly collection of graduation ceremonies. However, the University also requires some additional outfit provision throughout the year for staff and distinguished guests who attend other events where formal dress is required. The University is looking to form a Concession Contract with the successful supplier. The supplier will be able to generate revenue from gown hire services to the students. In return, the supplier will provide all required academic outfits for members of staff and distinguished guests, free of charge, and design services, free of charge, if and when necessary. The University does not require a cash concession to be paid to the University to ensure that the Graduands receive the best value for money when hiring their academic outfit. The University is looking for a professional service provider that will enhance official events. It is essential that your representatives respect the significance and gravitas of these events for the University, staff members, students and their families.. This is a non-regulated procurement process and as such the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016 do not apply. This notice has been published voluntarily.

Renewal: There is the option for 2 x 2 year extensions and a final 1 x 1 year extension taking the total possible contract length to 10 years.
