## Summary

The Transport for Edinburgh Ltd is currently seeking a contractor for the "Transport for Edinburgh Cycle Hire Scheme," a concession opportunity aimed at enhancing cycle access within the city of Edinburgh, UK. This procurement is classified under the services category and is at the award stage following a tender process that began in late 2017, with the final contract signed on 10th May 2018. The contract is intended for an initial period of three years, with an option for extension, and includes a commitment to operate the cycle hire scheme at no cost to the purchaser. Interested parties should note that the scheme will require a minimum provision of 500 manual and 100 electric bikes to be operational by June 2018.

This procurement represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the transport, logistics, and cycling infrastructure sectors. Companies that specialise in cycle servicing, maintenance, and marketing strategies would find particular value in participating. Additionally, the concession will promote local job creation and community engagement initiatives, enhancing prospects for small to medium enterprises and those in the third sector. Businesses interested in expanding their services to universities and public locations throughout Edinburgh would be well-positioned to compete for this contract, leveraging their expertise to contribute to the sustainable transport infrastructure of the city.
