## Notice

South Ayrshire Council has public space camera across each of the main towns. CCTV technology is improving, but still doesn't offer practical flexibility required to meet a range of demands that may mean cameras need deployed swiftly and securely. SAC are keen to explore opportunities that truly agile and self-powered CCTV solutions will offer, so it can cater for current and future requirements. The challenge is to develop a CCTV camera solution that can be redeployed to virtually any location, in the least resource intensive manner possible, and be able to operate where no traditional power supply exists. Image quality must be fit for purpose for public space CCTV and relayed to SAC's control room staff, and the camera should be 'future-proofed' to facilitate multiple transmission methods. A key aspect to the challenge is how to get a public space camera 'up there' (and make sure it stays there) without reliance on vehicles with aerial platforms or specialist operatives.
