## Summary

The East Renfrewshire Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for a tender titled "Catering Management and Information Systems Pin Notice". A Catering Management and Information solution should be able to provide the following functionality in all ERC Primary and High Schools as a minimum but the Council is keen to see areas of innovation that suppliers in the current market can offer.

Lot 1

East Renfrewshire Council's Education department are keen to get some feedback from suppliers on the capabilities that are on offer in the areas of Catering Management and Information Systems and traditional Cashless Catering solutions. A Catering Management and Information solution should be able to provide the following functionality in all ERC Primary and High Schools as a minimum but the Council is keen to see areas of innovation that suppliers in the current market can offer. As a minimum, a Catering Management and Information system should be able to provide classroom pre-ordering capability and point of sale functionality in school cafeterias. Solutions should be able to manage pupil accounts and reduce balances when purchases are made. Solutions should be easy to use and cashless by design and should link balance and payment information with the Council's current online payments for schools partner, Parentpay. Solutions should have detailed easy to access reporting capability and should comply with national legislation including GDPR. The Council are looking to move away from taking cash in schools and are keen to explore technological advances on how this can be achieved. The council will invite a maximum of four interested suppliers to an demonstration event on the 2nd March held within East Renfrewshire Council Offices in Barrhead. Suppliers will be expected to provide a one hour demonstration of their product and a half hour Q&A session. Suppliers will be allocated a time slot during the day and will present to a number of Council officers. A more detailed list of requirements will be provided to those suppliers who are invited to present before the 2nd March. Interested suppliers are invited to email debbie.hill@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk no later than 12 noon Friday 16th February outlining why they would like to take part in the demonstration. It will be at the Councils discretion as to the 4 suppliers chosen.
