## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking to establish a New Build Housing Framework Agreement aimed at delivering affordable housing across Edinburgh. This procurement is categorised under 'works' with a selective procurement method employing a restricted procedure. The project has a target of 20,000 new homes to be constructed by 2027, with the tender process currently in the procurement stage. Key milestones include the tender submission deadline on 2nd July 2018 and the collaboration involving several local councils and regional partners. The anticipated investment for the housing programme exceeds £500 million over the coming years.

This procurement presents substantial opportunities for businesses focused on construction and housing development, particularly those specialising in affordable housing projects. Companies with experience in modern construction methods, sustainability practices, and those interested in being involved in community benefit initiatives would be well-suited to compete. The framework agreement is expected to foster innovation and collaboration, making it a promising venture for potential suppliers keen on contributing to urban regeneration and affordable housing solutions in Edinburgh.
