## Summary

Caughey Solutions Ltd is conducting a tender for a "Framework for Construction Professional Services" aimed at establishing a framework of suitably qualified Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Structural Engineers, and Building Surveyors. This initiative falls under the housing industry category, specifically targeting areas such as Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray. The tender is currently in the active stage, with submissions closing on 22nd March 2018. The total estimated value of the contract is £1,900,000, and the procurement method is a selective process, following a restricted procedure.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth for firms specialising in architectural and engineering services, particularly those with experience in housing and community projects. Businesses that excel in providing sustainable and high-quality design solutions would be well-positioned to compete for this framework. The project aligns with strategic housing targets in Scotland, aiming to deliver 50,000 new homes, thereby creating potential work for contractors involved in social housing developments. With the inclusion of community benefits in the evaluation criteria, firms that demonstrate a commitment to local engagement and social responsibility may also find a competitive advantage.

## Notice

The Housing Associations wish to establish a Framework of suitably qualified and experienced Architects, QSs, Structural Engineers and Building Surveyors.

Architect Services

In 2016 the Scottish Government pledged GJBP3 billion towards the delivery of 50,000 new homes by 2021, 35,000 of which are to be for the social rented sector. The Housing Associations have active development programmes, with aspirations to develop up to 1,200 properties over the next five years to contribute to the delivery of the 50,000 homes target. Around half of these 1,200 properties will have incumbent design team consultants and are outwith the scope of this Framework. The Housing Associations wish to procure the services of design team consultants who can assist them in providing thoughtfully designed, sustainable, high quality homes with low maintenance requirements over their lifetime. Having the framework in place will allow the Housing Associations to respond quickly to opportunities to develop, whether that be through the traditional route of purchasing land and developing it, or through partnership working with house-builders or private developers.. The final Quality/Price ratio and Quality criteria will be as per the Invitation to Tender instructions. Any quantities or values referred to in this notice, or related documents, are estimates only. There is no guarantee of any work under this Framework.
