## Summary

The procurement process is being conducted by Heriot Watt University, located in Edinburgh, UK, for a project titled "Virtual Reality Solution." This initiative falls under the education category, with a planned procurement stage that is set to commence with the future notice date on 25th April 2018. The purpose of the project is to acquire a state-of-the-art virtual reality solution for the 'Imagineering Zone' at the new Discovery and Innovation Centre, which is part of a significant investment of £19 million in innovative technology and software solutions.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in virtual reality technology, equipment manufacturing, and software development. Companies that can demonstrate capabilities in delivering immersive experiences, integrating advanced technology like eye tracking and 3D prototyping, and facilitating collaboration in mixed reality environments would be particularly well-suited for this project. The collaborative approach sought by Heriot Watt University indicates a preference for suppliers that can form a long-term partnership, offering advisory services in addition to the supply and installation of the necessary systems.
