Lot 1

The GI works comprise of 10 no. percussion boreholes (4 outside normal working hours) 10 no. rotary drilling holes with and without core recovery. (4 outside normal working hours) 10 no. inspection pits. (4 outside normal working hours) 4 no. trial pits. (2 outside normal working hours) In situ penetration testing in boreholes and rotary drilling holes. Logging of excavations and any structures/significant features encountered. Recovery of samples as appropriate for subsequent geotechnical testing. The contract will include the provision of access for a Geophysical Investigation Contractor during 'out of normal working hours' (20:00 to 06:00) to locate the canal pipes.
